hi everyone!

Yes, I'm back from maternity leave. Been back for almost one and a half months already, but still feel as if I'm running to catch up with everything at work!

My baby girl is doing well. Her name is Kiera and she's growing fast! Will post her photo up one day when I get a nice one. It's really difficult to get a perfect pic because she's always fidgeting, and when the camera is in front of her face, she'll stop smiling. So we have learnt to have fast fingers when taking her photo. :)

Su, thanks for remembering my birthday. Now everyone knows when it is. Luckily my age is still a secret...... MUAHAHAHAHA!........

Hola Everyone,

As Sze Khim mentioned, we had a mini gathering. It was nice to catch up with one another after so long.

Allow me to update on behalf of my dearest ex-poly mates. Don’t worry Hida, I wont tell everyone that during the gathering, you kept talking about Mrs Tit and that you would like to go back to the HR line.

No one has significantly change. As always, for some reason, Sze Khim arrive much earlier than we had agreed. Hida arrived soon after. As always, im was on time. Hui Ping and Min Wen were half an hour late while Vel was 70mins late.

Throughout the dinner, Veline and Min Wen were very engrossed in having conversation with one another. Lets just say they have a lot of things in common. Had to ban Min Wen from talking to Veline. Veline was like the interviewer, went around asking whats our job scope and such..

Coincidentally, some of the stuff we talked about were stuff that Mrs Tit had earlier blog about.

After dinner, we hang out and talked even more that they didn’t realize that it was close to midnight. Before we parted, they agreed on meeting up 3 weeks later.

Well Done! We are all proud of you!

To Mrs Tit,
My workplace is so near to NP yet so far man. Its the hetic period now = extremely busy.
With regards to the sudden surge of HR classes, my gut feeling tells me that their decision to specialize in HR was heavily influenced, when they saw our happy faces in the KL trip and Bonding pictures that were used in the HR presentation slides.

Hello HRM graduates of 2006 & 2007

It's a long long time since I had written to you all. How are all of you getting on? The last time that I saw some of you were at the last graduation in June 2007.

Do you know that Mrs Celine Tan, your former TD and IEMP tutor has given birth to a baby girl two months ago. She is now on maternity leave and will be back to work in two weeks time. Ms Koh and myself met up with her at the SIM canteen and chatted for quite some time. She still remembers all of you and that some of you still maintain contact with her. That's very good.

Also, do you know, Ms Fong also has a baby girl in March. She is now back from maternity leave.

We are coming very soon to the end of the semester. Another 4 more weeks and the students of this current batch will be taking their exam. We have 6 classes of HRM students for this semester, about 110 students.

If you have the time, do pay us a visit at NP. Would love to catch up with you on your work or studies.

Yes, I am back from Sichuan. There were 58 students (33 hrm & 25 es) & 4 lecturers on the 6D5N trip. It was a tiring but fruitful trip. To QH, congrats man on your awards! You guys have fun wearing the robes, on your G Day while I’ll be having fun at my Communication and Relationship course. It may sounds so HR but NO im not in the HR line *winks at the lecturers*.

1) I ve become more tanned (thats what Claryn & Khim said)
2) I believe that I ve become more mature and sane over the past year
3) I got into minor accidents for the past 3 months or so, sustained minor sprains, cuts and bruises but am still in one piece so no worries ya.

I can't quite believe that v.soon on the 11th June, I'll really have to sing the song ~ Graduation that I've used for our HRM blog's backgrd music. How's everyone? I'm still fine & is still struggling to cope with the ever-increasing workload. I like the idea of wearing the graduates' robes (which they had introduced for our graduads) this year. I reckon many students will be grumbling how hideous they look with the outfit & will rather choose to wear a business suit instead, but graduation is something once in a lifetime, so why not make it a memorable one? No worries, I'll definitely be there & I certainly hope to see everyone there too!

Oh ya, did I just spot on Qinhao's name for the Compensation Mgt & TD awards? Congrats dude!

The start of 2007 was sooooo busy..... that i actually forgot about the 'existence' of this blog.... blah blah blah.....
Well, i hope all of you started the new year with a big bang!!!! and lots of wonderful 'fireworks'.
Khim, to answer your question: as usual we do ask students to get examples of company practices whenever possible to get more realistic with the industry... but I do not know who is Kimberly & there is no tutor here named Aloysius.
On the hind side, I am some that you all have 'matured' to being able to highlight some bad behaviours & attitudes. I can understand how disappointed you are when faced with such rude and unreasonable demand. As HR people, we have more 'chances' to encounter such incidences as we deal with people...... but then, it's definitely a good learning opportunity to polish up our soft skills, patience and also to bring out the gentler side of us, isn't it?? :)

The 'Yaya' Generation

I was deluged with lotsa 'urgent' ad hoc duties after I've returned from sick leave & guess who called when I'm in the midst of rushing my work? This caller identified herself as Kimberly Seow (a Yr 2 HRM student) who found my Co's number from Yellow Pages O_o? She claimed to be doing a HRM project, thus she needs to ask me a few questions pertaining to the benefits our Co provides. Ms Koh, R they required to called up MNCs to ask the HR dept abt their compensation & benefits? She told me she needs info abt global companies' C&B policies & I got to know that her tutor is Aloysius. Anyhoo, I was really put off by her 'yaya' attitude. Y are our juniors becoming more & more arrogant + rude + loud nowadays? She was raising her voice at me when I asked where she was calling from. Can you imagine how turned off I was? Let's cast that girl aside, I'm dropping by to wish u folks a very Happy New Year! I still find it unbelievable at how fast Yr 2006 has flew & how my NP campus life has came to a full stop. School life is definitely way better than Working life! I'm signing off now, its getting late. Will catch up with you guys soon (^-^)v

For me, its that time of the year to reflect. Reflect on 2006. Learn from people around us. Learn from the mistakes we made. Appreciate what we have, appreciate the people that crossed our paths and not taking them for granted. Especially here in Singapore, where it seems that *we live to work and not work to live*

Time flies & it felt like I've jus celebrated my 21st bday in Sunway Lagoon (with you folks) last year. As usual, I'm dealing with resignation cases everyday (e.g. preparing acknowledgement letters, despatch documents & instructions on exit procedures etc) & other ad hoc duties that made me really exhausted by the end of the day. I was sharing with Huiping previously that staffs are leaving almost every single day in my Co & I have to assist them in doing clearance. Work aside, I really had an enjoyable time chilling out with Huiping on the bday last Thur :) Here R some of the pics we took:

We went to Ministry of Food (MOF) at Marina Sq for dinner & the food there taste like heaven! You shld go check out that Japanese restaurant if you are heading to Marina Sq for shopping or makan. My apologies to my Muslim friends: The food there is not Halal, next time if I come across any great food, I'll post it here :P

Dun scold or blame me for not blogging.. My extra time are all used to catch some sleep..
I duno what is happening with me or the company? I have been working late till say 11pm. 12mid night or sometimes even 1 am! Gosh! Im not sure if i can still take it for another 6mths or more?

Gd news to Ms Koh.. I have passed my probation at work, but this is a bad news to me. My supervisor was telling me that after probation, we need to be on our own, communicating to the Partners and Department's managers on the recruitment process and status. *haiz.. this is really stress* My manager also expects us to work like my supervisor once we passed our probation.
PS: Im wondering why our pay and remuneration are not being paid like our supervisors when we need to work like them? Right? Hahaaa..
Ms Koh, your ice cream anytime.. Just afraid you might be busy with school work, will you be available during weekends? keke.. I will find time for you.. I promise. hahaa..

There R times when we tried to publish our blog entries & we'll receive the error msg prompting the problem with the javascripts (from our archives' entries). As such, my advice is to re-publish the blog again & if the problem still persist there is nothing much I can do cos the problem comes from the blog server. Otherwise, you can at least re-publish the index so that the recent entries R still intact.

Ms Koh : I did update you guys regarding my work life in DT. Do stroll down the page & look at my entry dated 9 October. The last time I heard Navi was working for Hilton Hotel's Reception while Simon & Lawrence were job hunting. Hida hasn't been responding to my smses for weeks. I think allowance is something like pocket money, and its confirmed given to you whereas reimbursement, you can only claim when you spend? Somewhere along that line? How was your trip to Ho Chi Minh? DId lots of shopping? Any souvenir(s) for me?

As for me, went Batam( though only 40 mins ferry ride, but its still overseas right?)for a holiday cum course, and it was during the fasting month. Although, the PSI in Singapore reached 150, it did not appear to be that hazy in Batam. Had lots of fun though, did some crazy stuff, which I shall not and will not elaborate further here.

hi there. im back frm cambodia!

n im quite lost w all d news happenin in SG.. all i noe was dat d PSI went high a few days ago..

everythin there was fine.. went to 3 places.. kampong Speu, kampong Thom and Siem Reap.. 2 'childcare centres' n R&R..

the first place (abt 10yrs old) in kg Speu is memorable.. d kids there are more outspoken.. we din get to do much interaction w them but they really taught us how to interact w them given such short time.. got a guy, aka DK (vel noes his real name, i cant remember d spelling) he's so called d popular guy among us, he really made frenz w most of us, and became mi buddy's 'bro'.. for mi, i was doin d footpath dat leads frm d common room to d gals dorm.. d original state was a slope, so gotta undo d slabs of concrete n add sand to level d footpath.. its this place where i got slightly darker!

2nd place is kg Thom.. d kg itself is d poorest in Cambodia.. d kids there are slightly smaller in size, but they are as happy as d kids in d 1st place.. here, i did d basketball court.. it usually takes abt 7 days to complete 1 whole court.. but here, d boss (we oso had contractor's help) told the workers to rush d job so dat at least we cld see part or full court done.. we managed to do til d cementin by day 5. here, same thing, i got darker! haha. n wow.. d foreman was cool wor.. name's channa (we misspelled his name for his bday card) friendly but shy, got civil engineerin advance diploma, age 22, simple english is OK, juz d pronounciation.. haha.

3rd place is more of a tourist place.. but we stil gotta do some outreach.. did delicing.. argh.. i did d shampoo'ing of d kids hair (1st station).. can see dat most kids do have lotsa lice. ppl in cambodia really need proper care of their hygiene.. teeth, hair, wounds, etc.. esp in those who are livin in villages.. no worry kk.. i deliced myself already.. haha.

overall, i missed d kids there alot, and would definitely go back if there's a chance to.. like wat our Liaison IC, ms Nellie Chew had said.. "are we bringing joy to them or is it the other way round?" d smiles on their faces n d simple lives they lead.. both places i went are christianity based.. im really happy dat they all do have somethin dat they could rely on w faith.

My life in Deloitte has alot of 'downs' then 'ups' for the past 1 mth. But not to worry, I'm doing well & is still persevering on! My mentor is also a former NP student (specialized in HRM) who graduated in 1993! She is great & has been my pillar of support. My biggest challenge presently is having to serve two supervisors with great contrasting difference in terms of work style & personalities. I was away in Ho Chi Minh city for a week. Unfortunately, caught the Vietnam flu and had to stay in the hotel to rest. Only went out for lunch and dinner. However, despite the flu, I enjoyed the food there. Had mainly seafood. As for breakfast, mainly bread and egg. High cholesterol!!

One more week to the start of the semester. Will be busy preparing our lectures and tutorials.

Finally booked out after my 2 weeks confinement period in NS. I am posted to the Falcon (same name as my previous Scouts unit) company, and met various people from Ngee Ann particularly from school of BA. ( My buddy is from BFS), one of my bunk mates worked in the same company during attachment as Cindy See and Chein Fong is in the same company as me though different platoon. (For those who are blur like me, a company is actually dividied into 4 platoon (which takes up one level of the building), and each platoon is further divided up into 4 sections (which takes up one bunk each) so CF is in P2 while i am in P3. Everything is so rushed inside that we seldom have the chance to talk, only managing some minor conversation here and there during their lectures time as all our free time would be used to do preparation for tomorrow's activity so lecture time is the only time we can talk and SLEEP! ( of course, depending on who is giving the lecture)

Been in contact with Nicholas who enlisted 2 days earlier than me and he is in the Viper company and all he does is to complain to me about the lack of free time and tough training for his company. Havent had the chance to see him yet in his botak look but i am enjoying my botak hair every moment. it is cooling and totally fuss free and sometimes when we were only given 30minutes to bath and sleep for the whole company, after queueing for the washroom, we do not have much time left and u can just shower and sleep immediately! Current training for my company is more of the standard type and only occasional punishment which seems to be a form of 'formality'. Anyway, i am looking forward to 080908 , the day i ORD. In the meantime, take care. (Ps: a bit messy and disorientated post, pardon me but i havent been using my brain for 2 weeks and its beginning to rust)

don't know whether I can provide any "enlightenment" to Su, but will give my two cents' worth here. Entertainment allowance was not covered in IEMP because it is not specific to international employment only. As far as I know, companies, whether local or international, will reimbursed their staff for entertainment expenses. Hope you all know the difference between allowance and reimbursement. Anyway, for more info, I will throw the ball over to Jocelyn, the comp & ben person. :)

Su - thanks for the kind words for the lecturers, as well as the sharing on attracting and retaining employees, it was very enlightening.

Hui Ping - sorry to hear about your experience yesterday. I guess when it comes to events of such a large scale, we must learn to expect that not everything may run smoothly. Wow, optical shop. It was nice to see everyone else at the BBQ too. Even though I taught you all for only a short time, I felt very proud to see how well you have all done for yourselves, whether in school or out at work.

What is entertainment allowance? You could pose this question to your ex-classmates who are now working in the HR Department. They might be able to help you there.

Although it is vacation time now, there is till quite a lot of work to catch up with. However, I am taking a short break, going to Ho Chi Minh. Will be there for about a week. Anyone been there before?

Hi, is me again, i will just make it short and sweet k, basically today i just finished the IMF event, everything looks fine on the outside, but actually everything was in a mess today.. we reach there abt 1 pm today, with no passes and shirt. No instructions given. Everthing in confusions and we actually missed our way in the esplanade, cos some doors only allows entrance but no exists, especially for those doing rooftop. We walked round and round but couldn't find our way out. When the student leader went to check with the policemen station there, they themselves also said that they were not sure!!-_-"...

So basically we had nothing to do in the early afternoon only till the late afternoon were we being ordered to cut out the clothes and dress the tables. After which, was motionless again for us, till 9 plus when PM Goh arrived at the rooftops with his 400 delegates. Lots of secret police around the area. Most of them quite handsome. 1 of them took a picture with us and it was only then that we realise that under his coat, he actually carried a few guns other than the 1.5 kg rifles or something in his big bag.. everyone of them were the same.. Hmm... we actually found it quite frightening, cos we didnt thought that this event could be something so stricted to the extreme that most of them carried not only a guns with them but a few!! The fireworks were very grand, but i didnt have much time to appreciate it, cos everyone went to watch it, leaving me behind to serve this gentleman (well, actually he kind of tapped at my shoulder and asked me to help him out wif the drinks when i jus joined the rest for the fireworks), cos he is taking drinks from PM Goh and his special guests.

After they left, those who were doing food host still have to clear up the whole place, while those doing usher had already been released for home.. and i had jus came back at ard 2 plus. Think i m going to sleep now, tml still need to go for work. Oh ya, currently i m working in an optical shop in west coast. A new environment for me and also a new experience for me, as i get to learn lots of things like reading glassed degree, type of lenses better for spectacles etc.. still got lots more to learn :p
Think iwill just stopped here, hope everyone had an enjoyable holidays and for those who had started working already, a smooth and successful journey for works:p

‘What Attracts and Retain Employees?’

This entry is inspired by the ever caring and patient Mrs Tit. I was informed by one of my informers, that you, Mrs Tit, would like some comments on this particular topic. Since you are such a nice tutor who was always there, giving me sound advice, on academic matters or otherwise, I thought I give you my two cents worth on it. So yours truly, initiated a conversation with Limin, Joy and Vel while we were on the train, on ‘What Attract and Retains Employees?’ The outcome?

1) Learning opportunities and job prospects.

2) Salary must be at least of market rate, but Vel Emphasizes that she really would like a job that pays above the market rate.

3) The working environment should ideally be friendly in a sense that they give you the basic respect as a fellow colleague and not constantly pick on you.

However, in the middle of our discussion, Vel brought up a very good point (at least that’s what I think). She mentioned ‘Entertainment Allowance’ and her reason? ‘Just in case I need to entertain the clients mah!’ (I must say, Vel, sometimes, you just amuse me). I know for a fact that ‘Entertainment Allowance’ was never mentioned in IEMP. Im curious on how this ‘Entertainment Allowance’ works, so will someone please enlighten me on this issue? Maybe Miss Jac Fong? Anyone?

Personally, I feel that it is most important to have interest in the job and be passionate about it. Or else, you will not make it in the long run. This applies to most jobs, if not all, including being teacher /lecturer.

I was watching ‘Get Real’ on CNA on Monday night and they were on the topic of ‘Burned Out Teachers’ and it got me thinking. The statistics show that ‘Some 600 teachers or 2.5% of the teaching workforce quit the profession each year.’ It was also mentioned that a significant number of teachers quit after serving their 3 year bond. One of the issues highlighted was, with the ranking system in place, teachers are more ‘pressured’ to ensure that the students produce the results that the school ‘desire’, not only academically but also in CCAs. This program also reminds me of my not so smooth sailing secondary school days. I wonder… what kind of h*** did I put my teachers through? Especially to this particular teacher, who seems to be ‘constantly’ picking on me. To be fair, I was ‘naughty’ (ahem ahem) back then. Bad Bad taz...So I guess I deserve it in some ways. But hey, I turned out fine. Im a Business Studies Graduate from NP! Steady ar!

So to Mrs Tit, Ms Rosa Koh, Ms Jocelyn Soh and Ms Jacqueline Fong, Taz salutes each and everyone of you lecturers. Kudos to you all. May the FORCE be with you whenever you are lecturing and tutoring.

Just came back from the iDARE camp at Bintan.... and my whole body is aching..... I did the 'flying fox' there... you wouldn't believe it rite? : )

I am dead tired, but you see, one of my priorities is to check the blog (Yes, I am reading & following the blog). As I can see, there are more activities .... great, keep it up!

It's really wonderful to see you again at the BBQ. Your juniors have worked very hard in making the BBQ a success, and I think you have been also very supportive by your attendance & sharing. Thanks for those who make the special effort to come. Actually, I am very inspired by the fact that all of you are doing well in your respective areas & jobs. Work life can be very different from school life..... but that's no problem because our whole life is a continuous journey anyway. So keep up the good work that you are doing!!

I am really missing all of you.... everytime I walk past the canteen, I miss seeing all of you gathered in front of the sushi stall. I hope we'll continue to keep in touch!!

Hey all you SEXY people!

Time just zoom past you regardless of whether you are having fun or otherwise and before you know it, it’ll be 2007! Freaky. I can still recall the first few days in HR class. It was kind of awkward to talk to each other for the first time. And how could some of you(Limin, Hida, Navi and the list goes on and on) even think that I’m arrogant or aloof? I’m neither arrogant nor aloof ok.

Fast forward to a year later, on September 7th, 2006, we were gathered at Aloha Loyang, Bungalow 4, to witness a ground breaking event. It was the first ever BBQ organized by the current HR batch for the HR graduates. And I must say it was nice to see all you HRlicious people at the BBQ.

Therefore, Rosa, you deserve a pat on the shoulder for being able to “persuade” the current batch to organize the BBQ. I can only conclude that the reason they organized the BBQ is either due to the fact that you are one hack of a persuader or they are still young and innocent and unknowingly fall into your trap.

To the other lecturers, it’s good to you see you fine lecturers again and chatting with each one of you. It was comforting to know that you superwomen are still the same old lecturers (pardon the pun) who accompanied me through the slow and agonizing HR journey.

To my former lecture mates, glad that we got a chance to meet up and catch up, just like the same old HR days. To those who felt that I was MIA, there is a perfectly logical explanation for that. It’s simply because I am rather occupied these days and as a result I do not go online as often as I did before.

To those serving Cambodia soon, have fun doing community work over there and have a safe flight to and fro. I’m proud of you, Joy and Vel for taking time out to help the needy, especially you, Vel (the mascara girl).

To myself, its time for me to go and tidur (sleep).

GHOST TOWN!?!

for the next 1 month and a half, this blog is gonna be a ghost town cos i guess everyone else is haunting something or somewhere else.. these "ghosts" are not around cos the gates are open, they have other options!!

This is sad! Very sad! Oh well must be the exams but prior to the exams there wasnt much going on.. so wots the reason we have contributors for? Rosa must be your threats right? it doesnt work right? they sign up but they do not contribute? That is a real classic case of empty threats!

I am done with all my papers, so yah i am complaining! and i am not gonna stop until i see some improvements..

Suggestions:
How about we have HRM blogger of the month? (e most blog entries? quality ones!)

its okie la. positive comments are good, but negative comments are betta. can improve on them. millitary bands like deyi, tanjong katong, bowen are always competing. upcoming bands are always welcomed in the 'once every 2 years' competition, in april and july.

once the finals done in early july, one of d gold bands wld b performin in the pre-parade segment for NDP. chingay too, you can see different bands performing, entertaining etc.

Hello everyone! It has been quite sometimes since i blogged here.. haha.. well, today(29/07/06) I went to the kallang national stadium with minwen and the another friend to watched the NDP preview. There is only one word to describe,it's AWESOME!! It was really a different feeling than you watched it at home from ur tv. hehe.. Moreover, this is the last year that the NDP will be holding in Kallang Stadium.

But i didnt keep those balloons la.. i gave it to a kid and another to my friend's sister.. haha.. All these little things might sound childish, unattractive to u and u might gave a "chey!". But its the involvement that counts ma.. haha.. =p

Anyway, the show started off with the combined schools choir singing first and so on.. (watch it on 9th Aug 06 urself k.. hee..) And i actually liked that part play by the military band from Deyi Secondary Sch. The way that guy tossed and turned the stick high up in the air and catched it was spectacular. Everything started to heat up as Gumit Singh spilted the stadium into red and white team and started telling us to scream as loudly as possible and do the kallang waves and see which side would won. And as the last ray of sunlight was gone, the stadium was immediatedly surrounded by thousands of dancing stars as everyone switched on their touchlight and waved.. oh my, it was really beautiful as u see across the stadium..

This year, I think that they had also arranged for the fireworks to be shoot at almost every interval of the performance, cos the whole night, me and minwen was wowing over the beautiful sky..lol..think everyone was the same la huh..haa.. Oh ya, btw the fireworks were so close to us that i tot that it would fall onto me lor..lol.. Anyway, the night became romanti as Gong Si Jia, the singer who is singing this year ndp theme song started singing & rising in the middle of the stage in the middle of sea waves form by hundred of ppl under big pieces of clothes in the parade sq. Can u imagine the stadium filled with thousands of dancing stars( waving touchlight), beautiful song and awesome fireworks?? lol.. it was really wonderful and minwen had even felt herself being in the middle of a fairy tale..lol..

Okie, maybe i had been over exaggerating by abit. But i think this year they had done an excellent job. Everything goes accordingly, we doesn't have to wait very long for free ferry bus, everyone got a seat in the bus, we doesn't have to wait very long to be sitted in the stadium. Given clear instructions where to get ferry bus back home. No complaints, jus wanna say we really enjoyed ourselves!!

The SDAR & the Ngee Ann Track & Field Club will be organizing a Campus Road Relay on the 4th August 2006 (Friday) at the Ngee Ann Sports Complex from 4 pm to 7 pm (see detail timing at the official website).

This Campus Road Relay is open to all staff and students in Ngee Ann with the aim of promoting Healthy Lifestyle , Interaction and Espirit De Corps .

Project Nutz Campus Road Relay features a new 7 leg of a 1.2km circuit run around the campus instead of 8 leg. The race will be conducted in a relay format. The baton exchange zone will be situated in front of the Grand Stand at the Sports Complex. SDAR hopes to attract a total of 500 participating staff & students/runners from 11 School/Division to participate in this event.

Registration is now open and all registration form must be completed on-line by the 28 July 2006.

Lets all bid farewell to Jean Wee who will be departing Singapore over the weekends to further her studies in Australia, though not Sydney, not Melbourne, or not even Brisbane. Jean had chosen the beautiful city of Perth which is famed for its country side farm houses with lots of sheeps and cows to keep her company through out the university years. I think she will have such a great time shopping, erm well, studying there.

How's everybody? When I saw the pictures for this year's graduation, I can't wait for mine next year! Since the term break was over, I'm back to meeting more assgmts/project deadlines (one after another). Btw, the final exams timetable R out & I have papers from 18 Aug till 25 Aug. I need some tips from you guys who have taken IBS last semester. I get v.nervous presenting one-on-one with my tutor (Henry) & I tend to screw things up b'cos of my tension (e.g mispronoucing my words or forget abt my scripts etc). Any gd advice? Another thing, I'm hoping someone would explain what is a "blue collar worker" and a "white collar worker" to me. I happened to stumble upon these terms when browsing through a magazine. Hi! Ms Koh, i got my laptop back already..just got it back ytd, im not lost im here!! sometimes when im free in the office will visit the blog once in a while, but that seldom happen la..hehe.. Cuz its real busy there and would say that I have alot of things to remember.

Okay, you ask me to update you on my job, would say that am getting into the momentum already. Recently been handling on the Graduates intake and coordinating their orientation like sending out letters to them, consolidating their particulars to be sent to the training department, arrange them to come by to collect their training materials etc and there are 3 batch in all. So that means i have alot of datelines to meet.

Besides doing all these, I process the claims for their buddy lunch thing, helping out on like extracting information from personnel files and databases for my manager's use for their salary review, survey etc. Sometimes the datelines are all very near and rush, thus i've been working lots of OT almost everyday and been very tired. But I like my job, am enjoying what I'm doing though very tired.

Right now, an looking forward to the company D&D as Im being chosen to be part of the committe, it will be a real good experience i would say and also coming there will be a recruitment exercise in NTU/SMU, they all said that during this period we will be really busy and be prepared to work late in the office. Hmm... means I gotta give up alot of my private time already! I really envy you people in school..thought rushing for project deadlines, but there will still be time whereby you guys can go shopping and movie etc.. Do enjoy all you can ya?

Btw, its been quite some time since i met up with you all already, especially HIDA!! I miss your laughter and the days i irritate and disturb u!! hehhee.. Hope to see you all soon!
